Mental Health Awareness & Wellbeing

At the end of the workshop, participants will feel more confident to:

  • Understand the importance of Mental Health and Wellbeing.

  • Look at their personal stressors using the Stress Bucket tool.

  • Explore the topic of stigma and discrimination.

  • Consider how to maintain or regain good Mental Health for yourself and your peers, using the 5 Ways to Wellbeing.

  • Access additional support both locally and nationally.

Understanding Anxious Feelings

At the end of the workshop, participants will feel more confident to:

  • Understand the importance of Mental Health and Wellbeing.

  • Explore their own thoughts, feelings, and actions surrounding their own anxious feelings.

  • Identify healthy ways to respond to anxious feelings, using their own personal Coping Skills Toolbox.

  • Explore the concept of Gratitude, using the GLAD technique.

  • Access additional support, both locally and nationally.

Understanding Relationships, Sex & Consent

At the end of the workshop, participants will feel more confident to:

  • Understand relationships, sex, and consent.

  • Identify the qualities of a healthy relationship.

  • Explore the topic of Sex and Sexual Intimacy.

  • Recognise what consent looks like and how to gain consent.

  • Access additional support, both locally and nationally.

Understanding Self-Esteem & Identity

At the end of the workshop, participants will feel more confident to:

  • Understand the importance of good Mental Health and Wellbeing.

  • Recognise that you have worth and are worthy of happiness.

  • Explore, express and share our feelings when asked: “How are you feeling?”

  • Look at how low and high Self-esteem can affect our Mental health & Relationships.

  • Discover Self-esteem and confidence-building tips & tools.

Wellbeing Champions Training

The wellbeing champions programme aims to give participants the skills and knowledge they need to safeguard their mental health and that of their peers. In this champions programme, educators will work through a mental health awareness workbook that covers the topics of mental health, stigma and discrimination, spotting the signs, including non-judgemental listening and the responsibilities of a mental health and wellbeing peer educator.

Champions can help young people build the skills and confidence to help change how people think and act about mental health problems.

This workshop includes certificate and handbook.

All educators will receive ongoing support from a YiS Wellbeing Trainer for up to 6 months after the training.

Workplace Wellbeing

Suitable for all staff including those with leadership responsibilities, who are keen to promote positive workplace mental wellbeing, improve productivity and staff morale.

At the end of the workshop participants will feel more confident to:

  • Better understand mental health and wellbeing.

  • Empower staff to feel more confident discussing mental health.

  • Support staff to better relate to others.

  • Share strategies for staying well and promoting positive mental wellbeing using wellbeing action plans. (WAP)

  • Look at ways to improve their own wellbeing using the five ways of wellbeing.
