MK YiS Young People's Mental Health 

YiS Young People's Mental Health is a long-running charity that works in Milton Keynes to help young people as well as the people that support them. We provide BACP-Accredited Therapeutic Counselling, One-to-One Wellbeing Coaching, Education, Outreach, Early Support Hubs, and more to improve mental health and wellbeing in the local area.

Education & Outreach

We deliver high-quality, engaging, and interactive mental health and wellbeing workshops in schools and workplaces, which include one-to-one coaching and outreach activities to young people across Milton Keynes. 

Our specialist facilitators are skilled in delivering a variety of topics such as Mental Health Awareness, Workplace Wellbeing, Self-Esteem & Confidence, Stress & Anxiety, Identity, and Relationships, Sex & Consent

Therapeutic Counselling

We provide free and confidential BACP-accredited counselling for young people aged 11-21 in Milton Keynes. We work with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, anger, recovery from abuse, family problems, relationship difficulties and many more.

Early Support Hubs

The YiS Early Support Hubs provide a drop-in service for young people aged 11+ who would like a safe space to access support for their mental health and wellbeing without needing a referral or an appointment. Young people will gain access to light touch, early intervention information, signposting, guidance and activities to support their mental health and emotional wellbeing before they hit a crisis point.

Governance

The charity is overseen by a board of volunteer trustees. They are responsible for strategic oversight and development of YiS and come with the expertise and/or enthusiasm to help us better support young people’s mental health in Milton Keynes.
